Out to Brunch

This past weekend was one of our typical, beautiful and sunny California days. Spring is definitely here and Summer is on its way! I spent the afternoon being inspired by women who are making waves in their industry at the second PowHer Brunch hosted by Liquid Courage Cosmetics. The brunch was located at the Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland, CA and of course, I took advantage of the beautiful greenery and bright sun to get some pictures to share with you of my brunch outfit. If you are curious about how to mix high and low-end fashion for a nice brunch look, keep reading…

What I wore…

I picked up a few pieces from the Victoria Beckham + Target launch last weekend and went back during the week to pick up this bee shirt. I initially saw this shirt in the store but was curious on how I would style it. I didn’t pick it up during launch weekend but after dreaming about it and seeing how some of my favorite Instagrammers wore it, I wanted to pick it up and share my take on how to style it. Luckily, when I went back they had only one and it was in my size. Thank you to the fashion goddesses. LOL The black belt is from the Altuzarra for Target collection.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my grandmother passed away in February. She had a very high-end wardrobe and I inherited a lot of it. Both my Louis Vuitton bag and my St. Johns skirt are from my grandmother’s closet. Instead of pairing this outfit with black heels (can’t be too matchy-matchy), I spiced it up with my baby pink pumps from Chinese Laundry. The diamond ring is an heirloom from my grandmother.

Style is not about how many expensive brands you have in your closet, but rather it is about how you put a look together that reflects your personality. I mix a lot of high and low-end fashion + accessories together all the time in my daily wardrobe. Don’t be afraid to mix it up!
