My Fabulous Weekend: Anthropologie, Illustrations, & a Birthday

Hi Loves!

Is it me or do the weekends seem to breeze by? I had so much fun and writing these posts about my weekend makes me appreciate every little thing that happens.

On Saturday morning, one of the Production Assistants for The Divas Circle came over to edit our next episode. We took a little break to discuss my upcoming book, The Diva Diaries, and had a great conversation about bullying and some issues we faced as young girls. I absolutely cannot wait to share the book with you! I’m sharing my battles with self-esteem, depression, and suicidal thoughts in order to help girls and women who may be going through the same thing. I want girls to know their worth and walk in their purpose so that if they are teased and bullied they will not let what others are saying effect how they feel about themselves.

After the discussion and editing session I decided to take a little time for myself and get a mani/pedi at my favorite nail salon, Pinkies. Ahhh…so relaxing! The Pinkies in Burlingame, CA is so nice and downtown Burlingame is beautiful! After my appointment I walked downtown and landed in Anthropologie.

I can walk through this store for hours and I did. When I got to the section where the perfume was I was entranced by this sent. So I smelled every bottle of perfume they had until I found it. Cleopatra is my new favorite perfume!

After coming out of the perfume coma, I made it to my favorite art store, FLAX in San Mateo to pick up some markers for my fashion illustrations. I’m not only Illustrationwriting my book but I’m illustrating it too. Talk about hard work. But if it helps young women (which I hope and pray it will) I’m all for it! I’m still working on getting the faces right. What do you guys think?

Then on Sunday I celebrated my niece’s 2nd birthday. I LOVE birthdays! It’s a blessing to see another year. Her theme was Paw Patrol. Apparently these are the hippest pups on the yard. 🙂 But her favorite part of the birthday? Aunties bubbles! Ha! I didn’t know the bubbles would be such a hit but it was so cute hearing her say I LOVE BUBBLES!!

What did you do this past weekend?

XOXOXO
