My Strategy For Getting Fit

Hi Loves!

My goal is to lose 40 pounds. Yeah 40. I even have a hashtag for it #teamdrop40. 🙂 Ha! But I have to be honest with you, at 31 it is much harder to lose weight than when I was in my 20s. I had been working out regularly and using SlimQuick gummies to aid in my weight loss journey (I have/had lost 12 pounds. Although I have not weighed myself in a bit so I probably gained it back). I got a new job and am struggling with adding the gym and fitness back into my routine.

In the last year or so, I’ve significantly changed my eating habits. I’ve cut out my everyday trip to McDonalds (you can read more about that when my book comes out) and I feel great. I don’t feel as sluggish as I used to and I can tell my body is responding favorably to a more balanced diet.

#teamdrop40For the most part, I am really happy with my body. The only thing I want to change is my stomach. This hanging over the jeans thing is not sexy to me. I am desperately wanting to flatten my tummy. I’ve heard that a flat tummy is made in the kitchen. Which basically means you have to watch what you eat. But I personally believe that it is more than this. Women pack stress in the tummy. So for me to achieve my goal of a flat stomach and #teamdrop40, I am going to incorporate four things into my lifestyle:

1. Healthy—er diet – I love, love to eat! Like everything. So I’m not one of those people who will cut out carbs etc. But I am willing to make better choices and watch my proportions.

2. SlimQuick gummies – I lost 12 pounds using these and minimal exercise. So I am going to continue to use these as an aid on my journey. I will do a post later on the results but if you are interested in taking these supplements I would consult your doctor first.

3. Exercise – Starting this Monday I am challenging myself to get into the gym or do something that gets me active for 45 minutes or longer at least three times a week. Now about finding the time…

4. Relaxation – I will need some form of relaxation once a week to reduce stress. This could be a massage, mani/pedi, writing 🙂 or spending time with girlfriends. Whatever it is I cannot let any stress go to this tummy. LOL

So Loves keep me accountable until I reach my goal. #teamdrop40

XOXOXO
