I was on the hunt for a mirrored desk to fit my new glamour theme for my home. After tirelessly scouring websites and different stores I decided to revamp an Ikea desk. Of course, this was a better fit for my budget. Spending thousands on a mirrored desk was just out of the question. While looking on the internet I found an article from White & Gold blog that inspired me to create this version of the desk:

Tools Needed:

1 Can of Primer ($10 Rust-Oleum)

1 Can of Gold Metallic Spray Paint ($10 Rust-Oleum)

2 ikea desk legs ($15ea ikea)

1 glossy white ikea desk top ($25 ikea)

A few hours of time and a friend to add to the fun!

Directions:

Step 1: In a well-ventilated area, spray on a coat of the primer. Wait 5-10 minutes and then spray paint another coat of primer. *tip – if you spray in short bursts 6 inches away from the legs it will prevent the paint from running.

Step 2: After letting the primer dry (5-10 minutes), repeat step one with the metallic gold. Let dry for 10-15 minutes and then spray the second coat. The spray paint will be dry to the touch after 20 minutes and completely dry after a few hours.
